And which client do you use? HTTP browser or vncviewer? Alt+<underlined character> is a special feature of Qt/ncurses UI, if it doesn't work in VNC, it's problem of VNC protocol or VNC Client. It's definitely NOT a bug of installation (YaST) itself.
