We need games.  They're the ultimate argument for converting Jane and Joe to 
Linux ("see, you have Solitaire and a whole bunch more").

I'd suggest:

kdegames (board, puzzle, whatever there is)
frozen-bubble
xmoto
chromium
lbreakout
penguins (the lemmings clone)
some invaders or galaga clone that looks modern.  Too bad there's no Chicken 
Invaders for Linux.
