And I'd both like to have it fixed and help with the fixing. For what it's worth, I'm a long-time Unix / Linux programmer and even though I mostly do Java these days, I'm still competent with native programming in C and C++, so I can do more than just install alternate versions and send in log files, if need be. Please let me know if there's more I can do.
