I also found this very useful when I found it after all. It´s just that its 
really very hidden to the average user. So most people will first try the 
Failsafe entry in their grub and will look confused at their first runlevel 3 
prompt.
Maybe an aditional entry in cd1-grub "graphical systemrepair" or similar would 
be something to think about?
