Games, FlightGear and such are the ones that needs 3D acceleration, so you are probably not missing out on anything. i2c is something completely different, it's a bus for monotoring hardware, temperature sensors, etc.

I see 1.0-9746 supports the GeForce 6150 and GeForce 6150 LE cards. The
legacy driver 1.0-7184 does not mention a GeForce Go 6150. Are you sure
it's not one of the former?
