even though I think you need to click to much when going through the
menu levels.
What are other peoples thoughts about these menus?

I agree. I like the new menus a lot. But I think there should be a way
to access all your applications without having to open a separate
application browser. I think the best way would be to have the
standard gnome menu accessible through slab. It could be called "all
applications" or something similar.
