Christina,

so far the official kernel tree contains version 0.7 of tifm driver,
which is highly broken and thus not activated on the factory kernel.
The latest version able to download of the tifm driver, version 0.8,
works perfect for me.

It is already included in the -mm kernel tree and will make it's jump
in the official tree soon hopefully.
