same here,
but sometimes when i do *something* e.g run yast2 bootloader, it
automounts the cd what was in the drive and appeared /dev/sr0 and sr1
i cant find usefull message in dmesg for this

Yes i can confim this. On my Sony Vaio S5 i have the same problem.
