I haven't seen any (for the Alphas) for a while.  Or maybe they are not
being mirrored.

Hmm, that might be worth a try - I was also thinking of the download
size though; bit of a waste to download 700MB when you only need
25Mb ... :-)

Actually, the optimal solution _might_ be to amend the mkbootdisk
script: "/boot/i386/mkbootdisk" and enable it to also make the
mini-iso?
