You can choose,if/whether you want numlock "on", or "off" during
installation. But i gave a notice in bug that i chose numlock "on" during
installation, nevertheless it is still "off". :-(
If you chose "off", you´ll have numlock "off".
Best regards, Rasťo

Hello
I´ve installed KDE cd aplha7 and NumLock is still "off" after

isn´t solved. From dvd (aplha6) it worked for me, but from KDE cd not:-(
So, i´d like to ask.Does anybody work on bug #294295?It seems nobody
works
on it.

I must say, that it is realy anoying for laptop-users that have no
extended keyboard, but use fn-keys for activating numlock.
The way to have numlock on by default, means that you must allways
notice this. fe: A password made with numlock on is different when
numlock is off.
Sometimes, this is very confusing.
You *allways* have to remember/be aware of the fact, that numlock is on
by default.... ;-), and shut it off, if you use a password in the
fn-number zone, or use a password without fn-numpad...
So if it was up to me, i would be glad, if it were not on by default....
