example the printer module)

is specially dumb. At least it should give the meaning of the acronym
and say for example: "ppd files gives the definition of the printer
properties, you may find one on the printer cd or on the printer
manufacturer web site"
a link to a detailed PPD file syntax should be usefull. some years
ago, printer where shipped with a manual giving all the internal
commands. Making he's own PPD file may be that difficult with correct
data.
don't answer about the printer here, it's not the scope of this mail -
just an example of what lacks.
