I've fixed a few things in the past and never really finished it because 
upstream was involved and the current packaging suggested that the spec files 
were to be compatible with old releases and even other popular RPM based 
distribution.

If there is need for extra hands I don't really mind shouldering a bit of the 
task. That ok with you sshaw ?
