Ok I resolved now it was missing a the following qt lib:

zypper in yast2-qt-pkg

Il seguente NUOVO pacchetto verrà installato:

  _libyui-qt-pkg5_

Now WANTED_GUI=qt is working as it was supposed!

Strange that I never received dependencies warning when installed
yast2-qt pkg.
