unfortunatly we do not have reached this step yet. What we need to do before
is
* Building the distro within the build service to make it reachable and
transparent for everybody.
we have reached the first step where all current sources are inside
of the openSUSE:Factory project and they do build against official
rpms to show the status.
This does show us that we have to
* cleanup factory <> factory-extra dependencies, currently there
are some packages in factory which needs factory-extra packages for
buidling.
* solve the java issues, this means either move away packages which
needs binary only java elements or try to build them with a free
java engine (or adapt our policies).
* Support baselibs build (the -32bit packages)
* offer merge request and handle them. At least some of the packages do
need a full review (we do so also internally, only very few people
can commit directly). This is also needed to avoid endless building
projects without to finish ever.
We do work atm a bit on the java issues, but our main focus for the next 4
weeks are the real end-user interface for easy downloading and installing
software.
So, right now, a package can get prepared from anyone in the build service, in
best case on top of the openSUSE:Factory package, but we still need an
internal one to submit it.
