I have used Linux with dialup and had absolutely no problem with it. I
also was in a situation where my parents would not let me get online.
So all I did was off-line. And you know what? I survived.

Such is life. I was in such a situation as well and lived. Go online, look
things up and go offline again.

Sorry? As far as I know you can make a connection with any provider using
Linux.
