Minor nitpicking: the home page example has two different language

right. However, seeing the number of wikis, now, a drop donwn list is a good idea

The home page example does not offer the same amount of space for
information blocks as the current portal style does. The current wiki
start page has one menu column and two columns for content boxes (one
wide, one small). This was agreed upon after quite a long and tedious
list discussion ;-) -- and it offers more room for content on the start
page as the most important entry point into the wiki. Your example goes
back to two menu and one content columns, which was what we started with
back when opensuse.org launched, and which didn't really work in practice IIRC.

I don't understand that. I see exactly the present page here http://www.suse.de/~fs/opensuse/draft_home.png (just lacks some parts: the "hat" about Novell, new/events/milestones and the welcome title)
