The page looks much better already, but there's still room for some improvement ;-) > * clickable icons in front of the download links > - Sigh, is this really necessary? So: yes, this _is_ really necesary ;-) (and, naive question: what's wrong with float:left?) > * there should be some kind of explanation about md5sum > Too confusing for beginners, especially from the Windows world. It's more confusing to have broken installation media... I agree that the MD5SUM doesn't need a very prominent place, but it should be available somewhere[tm]. > * links to the repositories > http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.2/repo/*/ > - see link "Package Repositories" in the left navigation That's too hidden IMHO. Please add a Media Type "Network Installation" with - the link to the Mini CD - links to the main and non-oss repository You can then completely remove the "Network Installation" column from the "CD" media type. (The Mini-CD is a bit confusing there ;-) > * the footnotes from current http://download.opensuse.org > - I do not think this is the right place to tell people about the > differences between the media. I would be happy to link to an > appropriate article on the wiki... Can we have something between the two extremes? I'm thinking of a "Help"-Link which opens a small info dialog (JavaScript). Anyway, the only relevant footnote / info dialog would be the list of languages contained on the language add-on CD. While we are at it, as already written in my previous mail: Please add the link to the language Add-On CD if people choose to download the DVD. Otherwise DVD users will never see the language add-on. Another thing, very minor: The explanation of the computer types is enclosed in parenthesis. Please remove them, they are superfluous. Oh, and all "Help" links should open in a new window. > * should be nice to have text in variables to keep the same page > through i18n > - I haven't thought about maintaining the page, yet... ;-) BTW: The download page just discovered a minor Konqueror bug ;-) https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=275767 Regards, Christian Boltz -- Regeln sind da um denn kleinen Mensch zu baendigen...
