Hi, at news.opensuse.org the leftbar lists categories above calendar. So on many screens the calendar section with the events is below the fold. I think exchanging the two would be useful for the mayority of visitors of news.opensuse.org. Yes, I think showing the calendar/events more prominent is more important as the categories.
Are there more people out there sharing my opinion?
