No, that isn't strange. The path order is hardcoded. Then you add this path at the beginning. If you want to avoid that, just use: xset -fp /usr/share/fonts/75dpi:unscaled xset +fp /usr/share/fonts/75dpi:unscaled xset fp rehash > The behavior is reproduceable with a OS11.3 install but not with a live-cd.
