I suspect that is likely to piss off a few people, just as it did me - 
according to bug
#115227, JFS is no longer supported as root fileystem by SuSE Linux.  

And of course, true to the "open" nature of openSUSE, no explanation, nothing.  
You guys
at SuSE - you're not making this particularly easy, are you? 

By the way, did I completely miss the official announcement about SuSE dropping 
JFS root
support?  I know JFS was dropped for _installation_ as of 9.3 - pissed me off 
too, but to
also completely drop support for JFS as root filesystem ...
