I guess you do not need ndiswrapper for the Atheros chips.
The Linux driver is in the non-gpl kernel rpm.
Just fetch

es+firmware/suse/i586/kernel-default-nongpl-2.6.13-8.i586.rpm
"rpm -Uhv" it, and then call YaST2 to configure your Atheros "network
card".
You'd think this works, but it will not. If I try to shutdown my PC, or if I
need to refresh the NIC the whole PC locks up hard using those drivers.
That's why I went to ndiswrapper.
So show down, please: "lspci" and "lspci -n".
