Mirror i tried, had guile-devel,
some even do not have guile.
Which ones don't have guile? Do these have openSUSE at all?

Take a look at

This one contains a guile-1.6.7-8.i586.rpm while
http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/ftp.opensuse.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-current/inst-source/suse/i586/
does not contain any file with guile in its name.
