I have it running and network is working but not the probided samba server because this one is misconfigured by the setup script. The problem I have seen was that the any-any patches cannot handle the kernel module build system as provided by SUSE because it has quite a broken feature detection system. The solution you often hear on the net is to manually configure your kernel sources. My alternative was to patch the any-any patches and remove the feature detection mechanism (actually I should have replaced them with a clean implementation but I did not have the time yet to do so). Finally I managed to build vmmon and vmnet modules that work with VMware 4.5.2 and SUSE Linux 10.0-RC1 without wasting /usr/src/linux/. If you wanted to test my vmmon and vmnet binaries for 2.6.13-9-default I could mail them. Robert -- Robert Schiele Tel.: +49-621-181-2214 Dipl.-Wirtsch.informatiker mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
