I tried the command "netstat -ant" but there was no mention of ipv4 or ipv6 in the results. Please note that I suspect that something like that is the problem as I had no problems under SUSE 9.3. As I already mentioned - I could connect to the Sun machine from a windows box, so I decided to try connecting using "gftp" from the RC1 box and I connected no problem. Next I tried connecting using wget - no problem there either. In the end, I solved my problem by re writing my ftp script so that it uses wget and not ftp. wget works fine. I guess it is a problem of new technologies (RC1 and ipv6? ) meeting old technologies (a default installation on an ftp server under Sun 5.8. @+ James --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
