Before I bite the bullet tomorrow and grab some iso's to install on
my Mac Mini, can anyone tell me if the little thing's fan will run
all the time? I've tried a few non-SUSE livecd's and the fan runs --
loudly -- and never stops. At least I think it's the fan; maybe it's
the little disk swapping like crazy -- it's the same noise I hear
when too many tabs are open in Safari and the beachball starts spinning.
The Mini's my machine for lightweight desk work, replacing a nice
Intel box that doubled as a noisemaker and a space heater. I bought
it because it is silent and cool, literally. I'll be chagrined if
SUSE keeps the fan busy. It's a dealkiller for me. I mean, OS X is
pretty nice and all that, but it's not as much fun as Linux.
