Hear hear. I also strongly vote for no more Eval versions. The OSS downloadable version is enough. Give us repositories for non-OSS stuff - that will do. > Just add > a 6th CD with all the non-OSS stuff for people to download that can be > added as an instalation source. Non-OSS stuff do not warrant an entire CD, surely? Aren't these the only non-OSS stuff: ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/suse/i386/10.0/SUSE-Linux10.0-GM-Extra/suse ? 112.7 MB? Can't be squeezed in somewhere by dropping something less important? Or even without dropping anything? > The space you make available could be made available for an OSS DVD. Yeah. > So for 10.0 You mean 10.1... > I would go this way: Retail: > 1 Retail (Full DVD+6CD set) Full DVD meaning dual-layer DVD with everything for both 32-bit and 64-bit. Downloads: > 1 OSS (5CD or DVD with the same content) The 5 CDs version is enough. Include Houghi's script on the same folder with a note in the readme saying that people can use this to make their own DVD. Save space on the mirrors. > 1 CD with extra's that can be used as an instalation source. This can be just another FTP repository. No need to include any more CD images. Anyone wanting the non-OSS stuff need not burn an entire CD, as I said above. > I know how to make my own DVD from the CD's, so for me you can drop that > part. ;-) BTW Houghi, if they make it 6 CDs as you say, will your DVD-maker script still work without modifications?
