Ok know is the same on SUSE 10 GM. When I install Yast says my USB SB4200 hasn't a kernel module and that i have to build it my self, which is a little difficult if you don't have Internet.
This cable modem work fine in SUSE 9.3 and Ubuntu, so what a made is change the card to a ethernet one ( not USB, but i still are using this cable modem with USB ) and then write "usbnet" like kernel module, if i don“t change from USB to Ehernet i can't write nothing in kernel module, that's work on install and i could make the upgrade but i lose the connection on the next boot and to have it again a need to make "modprobe usbnet" manually every time i boot. Any ideas ?? i already make a bug report since RC1 but nothing happen. 2005/9/17, Marcel Mourguiart <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Hi, i install super suse, but i have a SB4200 cable modem, that was > detected but do not loaded the driver ( SB1000 ), i just get into Yast and > put the driver manually, but it doesn't work, because the module "usbnet" > is not loaded at boot time, now i have to load it manually every time i boot > ( modprobe usbnet ), is that a bug ?? can i fix it ?? > > Please excuse my bad english. > > -- > Marcel Mourguiart -- Marcel Mourguiart
