Success!! ... Again thanks to this mailing list... To be honest, YaST's reputation is the reason why I didn't try SuSE sooner. I've read a lot of negative reviews about SuSE which focused on YaST's shortcomings.

I didn't have any luck after adding Packman and Guru, but I think they might be important in the future. I left them in my Installation Sources On 10/14/05, Rauch Christian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Rauch Christian schrieb: > > > Vincente Aggrippino schrieb: > > > >> I just switched from Fedora Core to SuSE. I ended up using a mirror from Japan. Then, I had to disable the installation source from the CD media because one of the packages I wanted to install was found there first. It probably would've also worked if I had either moved the CD source down in the list or if I had just stuck the CD in the drive. I just didn't want to rely on the CD because I won't have it in the future. It's on a CD-RW which I want to re-use for other things. Going off to get some coffee ;) > > -rauch > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Thanks again for all of your help. -- Vince
