I have had a similar problem. Sometimes simply removing and replacing
the CD worked for me, but in the end I had to restart the install
several times before it finally got through all 5 CDs. On one of my
machines the install error led me to replace the cdrom drive, which was
indeed bad.

Hi list,
I'm not new to Linux nor to the Suse flavour. Installed it many times
without a single real issue but this time...
When CD 1 is done and the usual window pops up requesting the successive CD
to be inserted I put CD 2 in, hit [OK] and the following error happens:
Media: mount failed.
Now:
- md5sums are OK,
- I've changed my CDs several times (they are rw, either Mmore or Maxell),
- CDs can be read in other computers,
- I've changed the CD drive (which always works fine with first CD).
I'm starting to think the problem may be related to the installation program
not unmounting CD x/mounting CD x+1.
Any clues? Anything I should have tried before contacting the list? <grin>
Thanks,
