Thanks for the tip, but even with that setting I still had to have
auto_mode set to open to get it to work.

When I converted from 9.3 to 10.0, my Netgear wireless card stopped
working.
I did some research and found that adding 

  PREFER_WPA_SUPPLICANT='no'

... to the /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-wlan-bus-pci-0000:03:00.0 script
fixed it.  You might give that a try.
