That works also "airdvd"!  The "Update System" is a few less steps and 
clicks, you just have to remember to unmark the kernel before starting.  
Lately, the SuSE mirrors had not been refreshing too.  Tonight I 
removed all of those and added a new one, which worked nicely to find 
all the updates.

Thanks for your suggestion though.
