Hmm, but vgdisplay is installed with lvm2. If lvm2 is not installed at your 
place, please do a

# which vgdisplay

and then

# rpm -qf /path/to/vgdisplay

for me to see what package is coming with this command at your place.

Yes, the command for running vgdisplay is telling that there are no lvms and 
just goes on to the next topic.

I only have /etc/lvm/lvm.conf but still no lvms in my system.
