I placed a wish on the tracker. As I wrote there, this is non-essential but very
convenient. Praps this conversation was best for the smart mailing list, but
it's got such a low throughput it seems my questions will be answered faster
and more thoroughly here.

Hmmm.. I did wonder about that... Agreed, more complex than it would at first
