i work with ... ./cofigure make make install but sometimes i dont like to make this, sometimes i like to do a rpm -i postgres*, and thats all.
in my company i use the source, because i configure postgres in my way, but in my house i only do tests with postgres and linux. i format my HD everym week, making test, and i dont like to use the source in this case. excuse my bad english.
