Hello,

first: nearly everybody here needs help - please use more descriptive
subjects!

second: this list is mostly about the openSUSE project and the
alpha/beta releases.
Questions about stable releases (like SUSE Linux 10.0) should go to
[email protected] mailinglist - you will get more answers there.

That said, let's have a look at your problem ;-)

XF86Config is obsolet and replaced by xorg.conf.

What do you mean with "nothing is written"? Is the file empty?

Maybe your screen was detected wrong.

Try running sax2 (as root) and setup your monitor correctly. Does it
work then?

If it still doesn't work, you may need to call sax2 with the -r
and/or -l option.
