Update between Alphas and Betas is not supported, but should work.
Update between stable releases are supported, so please test the update
from stable release to beta too (e.g. 10.0 -> 10.1 beta1) and report 
any problems you encounter in bugzilla.

To update, boot from the new installation media and select "update"
instead of "new installation" where you have the choice (first or second 
screen in YaST, if I'm not mistaken).
