You never can be sure, but ...

This means the bug is
- a wrong autodetection
- maybe another problem in YaST (difference between modifying a network 
  device and completely re-configuring it)

I guess it would be a good idea to use category "YaST2" for your 
bugreport. Please attach the y2logs [1] to your bug report.

Does your network card use a dynamic IP via DHCP? This would explain the 
message - it just waits for the DHCP server.
