*************snip********************* you have to be absolutly sure that yast knows what directory to find > archive.gz and/or index.gz or you will continue to get these errors. i use ftp to go to the host and then seek out the correct directories to my version and what leads to the directory containing the archive and index files. and that is what i use to place in my directory spot in yast.
