Here comes an open source hardware (from http://www.power.org/ ):
"Genesi has made the complete design and component listing for the
PegasosPPC available for free download exclusively to Power.org members."
The Pegasos ( http://www.pegasosppc.com/pegasos.php ) is a PowerPC
mother board, originally for Amiga users. From version 10.0 of SuSE
Linux, it works with our favorite distribution as well :) It needs some
workarounds to get it running (which are well documented in openSuSE
wiki), and will be even better supported by 10.1.
It's truly Open Source from the software perspective as well, as I don't
know about any binary only Linux software on PPC :-)
