Hello,
I have been running the upgrade process for almost 24 hours. Every
time the installer upgrades a fonts package, fc-list runs for almost
an hour. I have 1Gig of RAM and a huge swap partition, so I can
hibernate to disk.

Why on earth is fc-list running so long? Unfortunately, I have most
of the international fonts installed.
