I think the two present proposals (your and the german one)
are two different things and the two must be addressed.

1) we need a international hub on "www.opensuse.org" or
"opensuse.org" to give a chance to the visitor to go to the
good language one

2) we anyway must have a design for the sub-front page.

and this sub one must be done with internationalization in mind.

It's nearly impossible to ensure an up to date translation
of frequently changed pages, at least in the present
situation (22000 registered users in en, but only 60 inf
much younger fr, 184 in de, 70 in es :-),

news are much better if localized - it's a reason for local
Novell co links (having local news before the others :-)
