HI Martin and Malcolm

I seem to remember having similar problems with another Nvidia card a while
back that turned out to be due to the driver trying to output to the TV when
it wasn't connected. I ended up trawling the archives and disabling the
display of the Nvidia logo and any output to the TV and it solved my problem.

I'm afraid I can't remember the magic runes used in the XF86config/xorg.conf
file, but take a look around focussing on the TV out disabling. Worked for
me.

Good luck

Pete
