Sorry, I am getting confused by all these programs... the original post 
was asking about a GNOME version of profile_chooser, and the difficulty 
is in adding new SCPM profiles with sumf.  I find, however, that after 
re-installing beta 5 with KDE instead of GNOME, the same problem 
appears:

I was able to set up SCPM properly from the command line.
