I don't know if it boots from PCMCIA. I do know that it didn't boot
from the proprietary sony cdrom drive, I don't want to spend any money
on this thing.
It does boot from the proprietary sony cdrom drive, but you have to
connect it and then enable/configure it in BIOS before it does.
