People have painted things that are copies from  Rembrandts Nightwatch.
Also the Nightwatch is not in its original state as Rembrandt has intended
it. They cut of parts off the sides to fit it in the place it hung before.
So not only did they forked it, they also changed the painting itself.

I hope that SUSE has the common sence to follow the law and look at the
licences as given by the developers. There is no way you can go around
those licences. It is their software. It is their choice.
SUSE won't go the way of Debian and that answer should be clear by the
fact that there is a CD 6.
