If you look at it that way then EVERYTHING people do in their lives is support. It however confuses things if you say that support is the only things that the openSUSE community does. The moment you say that openSUSE only does support, most people I know will asume that openSUSE will not do development. That openSUSE will not do packagaging or give feedback or files bugs. Yet openSUSE as a community does all that. I am not saying that openSUSE does no support.
