GeForce2 is ancient. You cannot buy it any longer for several years now,
I call this ancient.
Yes, Xgl still has some bugs, especially with OpenGL redirection. It
also behaves a bit different, and thus bugs in other systems (games)
show up more easily.

Then don't use Xgl. Xorg will continue to work. It is also where the
*main* development will continue to take place.
