Yes instead of adding HTTP or FTP, select the "Specify URL"
This just takes the URL, nothing else and enter
http://ftp-1.gwdg.de/pub/suse/update/10.1/
you can try other mirror, but we know this URL works (I just did this
one myself about 15 minutes ago)

That was where I was having my problems, i was selecting "http" or "ftp".
