OK, makes sense.

If I want to share the Smart downloads among several PCs, is it OK to 
make /var/lib/smart/packages a symlink to an NFS-mounted dir, or is there a 
better way (ie set up a local repository)?  With the latter, presumably the 
rpms would ned to be "downloaded" (transferred over the LAN) to the local 
machine, whereas with the former, they don't.
