Unter 10.0 (mit paar Änderungen zu der wlan ifcfg Datei) hatte das drahtlose Netz mit dem eingebauten Intel Pro/Wirless 2200BG (Dell Inspiron 8600) funktioniert....die Geschwindigkeit war immer gut und die Verbindung zuverlässig. Unter 10.1 habe ich die ipw2200 firmware und Treiber installiert, ich kann die drahtlose Netzwerke in der Gegend erkennen (auch mein Netz).....aber nur ab und zu wird eine Virbindung aufgebaut. Manchmal krieg ich eine Verbindung sofort...aber trotzdem scheint mir die Verbindung sehr langsam zu funktionieren. Manchmal bekomme ich überhaupt keine Verbindung und KNetworkManager und KInternet deuten an, daß die Signalstärke 0 ist (obwohl der Windows-Laptop meines Partners kein Problem mit der Verbindung hat). Ich habe mit KNetworkManager und auch mit ifup (und ifcfg-wlan Datei) versucht....aber immer nur das selber Problem. Hat irgend jemand eine Lösung dafür ??? Ich glaube ich werde zurück zu 10.0 gehen...wenigstens hat es damit geklappt... Under 10.0 (with a few mods in the wlan ifcfg file) the wirless worked fine with my built-in Intel Pro/Wirless 2200BG (Dell Inspiron 8600)....the speed was always good and the connection reliable. Under 10.1, I have installed the relevant ipw2200 drivers and firmware, I can see all of the wirless networks in my area (including mine).....but I only get a connection now and again. Sometimes it connects immediately...but even then I feel that the connection speed is too slow. Other times it just doesn't connect at all and says that the signal strength is 0 (although my partner's windows laptop has no problems connecting). I have tried with KNetworkManager and also the traditional method with ifup and the ifcfg-wlan file...but still have the same problem. Has anyone been able to get this working ?? I think I might have to go back to 10.0....at least it worked with that. cheers, Kristian.
